Over the years, I’ve been photographing some themes that by many reasons interest me. Windows interest me because they represent other way of perspective, or a comfort itself. Except in case of a broken window… Or perspective. There’s also an analogy related with the act of photographing, since there is a “window” inside the camera that is open in the moment of shot to capture the light seen by the camera lens. Looking through a window, specially through the camera display, highlights the obvious: nothing stays as it is. On November 2007, I photograph this window from a hotel window in Juiz de Fora, MG – Brazil. I like this photo because, except the small vases, it is totally formed by lines, walking and forming 90º angles, building squares and rectangles. I shifted the window from the center to emphasize even more this perception. When I look to this photo, math seems poetry.
