(Im) balance

I like this photo because it has a balance inside the imbalance. I took this photo while visiting a person at downtown Piracicaba/SP, Brazil. For days, it had been raining endlessly and from my apartment’s window I kept an eye on the street flow. I took several photos, and I like this one because the look starts in the middle of the image, goes to the man on the right, follow his unexpected glance and then, ends up on the man located at the bottom. After that, the eyes keep looking all the rest of the photo, following the cross sectional of the curb that is in all of the photo; the small water ripples and under them, the vintage pavement, now, covered by asphalt. On the left side, the treetop has some heaviness, and so the journey ends in balance.
